Rotterdam, May 2026 – The artistic duo The Space Sisters, a (con)temporary collaboration between artists Lara Deutz and Anneliese van Buren, will present a new exhibition on May 9 and 10, 2026 during GO West Visual and Urban Arts Delfshaven 2026 in Rotterdam.

During this annual art weekend, dozens of locations in Delfshaven open their doors to the public. Visitors get a unique opportunity to meet artists in their own environment and experience their work. All locations are free to access between 12:00 and 17:00.

The Space Sisters

The Space Sisters are a multidisciplinary collaboration in which two distinctive artistic worlds come together and strengthen one another.

Lara Deutz (1989), operating from her alter ego Space Girl, is a Rotterdam-based multidisciplinary artist who paints, draws, composes, plays piano, and sings. Her work emerges from a spatial perspective in which colors, lines, and shapes unfold like a universe.
“My work challenges me to enter into dialogue with my surroundings and to share my vision with just a word, a brushstroke, or a sound,” says Deutz.

Anneliese van Buren (1988), known as Lisamarcom, has a background in fashion photography, live art performance, and graphic design. Her colorful mixed-media works, poetry, and video art form a direct translation of her inner world. Her practice is fueled by lucid dreams, visions, and experiences related to consciousness, trauma, and neurodivergence. Through deep meditation, she explores different dimensions within her own subconscious.

Exhibition

During GO West, The Space Sisters present an immersive experience in which visual art, sound, poetry, and conceptual initiatives come together. Their collaboration invites visitors to explore the boundaries between reality and inner worlds. Would you like to talk about “outer space” with Lara Deutz or “inner space” with Anneliese van Buren? Or both?

About the artists

Lara Deutz
